  • The Best Liga MX Podcast

This is by far my favorite Liga MX & Mission Tortilla podcast. Feels like you’re kicking it with friends.

  • Awesome pod

I found this podcast on Reddit years ago and gave it a shot since there’s a lack of English Liga MX and NT coverage. I’ve become a frequent listener and the uploads are always quick. Different opinions from different call-ins and some funny stuff too.

Highly recommend to Mexican American football fans.

  • Bad sound quality but great show.

I love this podcasts but it really lets me down when some of the conversation is inaudible. Needs improvements in the sound department.

  • Poor Production Quality

Trying to enjoy the content but the overall production quality is lacking: bad audio (are some people chatting over dial-up?), long gaps of silence (no editing at all), terrible sound mixing (some commentators sound like they’re whispering while others are yelling at you), etc.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 481: Liga MX & Mexico U-20 Round Up
Q: Riffalo, could you give us the cliff notes of your overall impressions of this first group game?
Kind of lackluster, especially in the defensive side, which found redemption late on by scoring that late header.
Ep. 476: Jornada 6 recap
Q: What are your thoughts on Santi Gimenez's performance in Milan?
He's struggling and not in good form, which is concerning given it's a World Cup year.
Rayados Exit Club World Cup
Q: What are your thoughts on the match between Monterrey and Borussia Dortmund?
Monterrey played interestingly but got too repetitive in their attack, leading to their defeat.
Ep. 469: Rayados CWC Debut | Mexico vs Suriname Preview
Q: What do you think is going on in his head regarding Piojo's opportunity to coach against Mexico?
It's more about proving himself to his detractors rather than seeking vengeance against the national team.
Ep. 440: Matchweek 15 & 16
Q: What do you think about this list of players for the National Team?
That's pretty pathetic from a global perspective, especially relying on a 40-year-old goalkeeper.
