I stumbled across this show while dealing with my senior dog’s myriad of health concerns - slipped disc, arthritis, cataracts (and cataract surgery), a collapsed trachea and cough, and finally a heart murmur. I felt like I was drowning but listening to Dr. Avery’s concise yet thoughtful and actionable episodes helped me get a grasp on the situation. I genuinely appreciate this show.
I recently discovered this podcast and have been listening while tidying up, driving places and doing outdoor chores. It’s very generous of Dr. Avery to take the time to share his immense knowledge with us. His guests are also well-chosen and impart valuable information. I like how Dr. Avery doesn’t sugar-coat some subjects such as obesity and climate change. He tells it like it is.
I had Dr. Alex on as a guest recently and after hearing his passion for healthy pets, and learning the wide array of topics he covers here, I've realized that wow this guy know his stuff. He is a one-stop source of knowledge for all things pet related, and as someone well outside the veterinary space, I learned quite a few things from talking with him. Keep up the great work Dr. Alex!
The episode about spaying your female dog was super helpful. I really like all the topics-I love animals and if you do too…you’ll love it
I love the info and tips that Dr Avery gives out on this podcast!
