我們都聽過在文革期間，許多知名的京劇或崑曲演員被批鬥得有多慘，死了、病了、瘋了、殘疾了的故事，一個個歷歷在目。裴豔玲說，她真的知道什麼叫做被逼到絕境的人生，「舞台上林沖這個人物是編出來的，但生活中真的林沖出現了，那就是我。」
