ATS Breathe Easy - Reviewing Advances in Endotrachael Intubation
Q: Is this something that I should never do? Or should it be not even a consideration?
It would be reasonable to give a fluid bolus if you have clinical suspicion of shock, while understanding that it may not have clinical benefit.
ATS Breathe Easy - Reviewing Advances in Endotrachael Intubation
Q: Are there any of one of those that you want to highlight regarding evidence of benefit in interventions?
I guess I'll first maybe point out that it seems like we've had so many trials in this space and it still kind of surprised me that the longest list is more evidence required.
ATS Breathe Easy - Reviewing Advances in Endotrachael Intubation
Q: Why should I read this review paper compared to other review papers that I might find on the same topic?
This paper includes data from randomized trials and focuses strictly on evidence from those trials, distinguishing it from others.
ATS Breathe Easy - How Lung Transplant Mortality Dropped After CAS Implementation
Q: What were the main findings regarding mortality in patients since the implementation of the CAS?
The adoption of CAS significantly reduced weightless mortality, especially for the sickest patients, demonstrating improvements with each allocation system update.
ATS Breathe Easy - How Lung Transplant Mortality Dropped After CAS Implementation
Q: How has the CAS changed the factors considered in lung allocation?
CAS places less emphasis on geography, introducing factors like medical urgency and biological disadvantages to ensure better outcomes for patients.
