Episodes are good, however noticed Bryan that he frequently mentions interns/hospitalists in episodes a somewhat negative way of not knowing things, thinking he’s better than them

  • Review of “Nurses are from Venus”

Nurses are humans trying to use critical thinking to better the patient’s outcome , not just machines implementing tasks … loved a lot of your episodes except “Nurses are from Venus “. Your voice speaks more than your words … nauseating. If a nurse is listening to this podcast it’s because we care about the patho , the reasons, not just following the order as they appear. Hard not to care about the reasons for doing each thing you do and the outcome when you spend your whole day with a critic... more

Lightning rounds 60: The nuances of insulin, with Melissa Nestor
Q: What are some common reasons why patients have hyperglycemia in the ICU?
Patients in the ICU often experience stress from their critical illness, which leads to hyperglycemia due to cortisol release, medication effects, and changes in dietary intake.
Episode 94: Mastering seizure pharmacology with Tom Bleck
Q: When should general anesthesia be considered in a seizure case?
General anesthesia should be considered if seizures persist despite initial treatment, particularly in scenarios where the patient is still exhibiting clinical signs of seizure.
