  • All the values I was looking for in parenting

As a brand new mom, I had certain values I wanted to abide by in my parenting, however I was unsure how to implement them, I was surprised to find Lisa had those same values and explains very well how to parent as a leader. I especially love that she specializes in teenagers, ensuring the knowledge that what you implement in your young kids is a result of how they will be as teens. I’m excited to keep up with bratbusters as I navigate motherhood

  • Wonderful

I’ve been listening to Lisa’s podcast for about a year and I love her respect for who kids are and her focus on connecting with your children and having fun. I find the structure of the behaviour board a really helpful guideline for myself and my chicken.

  • Love this podcast but needs a bit of change

Iv been listening to this podcast for probably over a year and have really enjoyed it and like Lisa’s approach but I think he needs a bit of change to the format. It’s starting to feel repetitive. I know exactly what Lisa is gonna say when she is gonna say it 🤣 Some new real life examples and how different scenarios play out and how to approach, would be helpful. You can’t keep saying refer to the pool story. If Lisa says she can’t say the story again and says go to her page. A little change u... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why Does My Toddler Think Everything Is Hers
Q: Valerie from Canada asks how to teach a two-year-old that everything does not belong to her.
The hosts suggest consistent, no-nonsense correction: tell her no, remove the item, and ensure everyone in the family enforces the rule to avoid mixed messages. They also recommend redirecting less as the child ages and expanding the boundary-setting to public environments like parks.
The Hidden Flaw in Parenting Boundaries
Q: Lauren from the United States asks how to manage siblings who keep pointing fingers and complain about each other while using the Behaviour Board.
The host suggests conducting a joint but balanced interview, then giving two minutes to each child to narrate events, followed by another two minutes if needed. The goal is to uncover the root cause and decide fair consequences, possibly adding a positive action for the other sibling to reinforce helpful behavior, while staying vigilant to avoid escalating conflicts.
The Hidden Flaw in Parenting Boundaries
Q: Sophia from Argentina asks how to handle two fighting children when there's constant arguing and occasional physicality.
Lisa explains a structured approach: separate the situation, interview each child about what happened, then assign consequences that address both sides. Use a consistent rule system on the Behaviour Board and follow through with the prescribed actions; focus on teaching sharing and managing a toy, with patience and a calm, step-by-step process.
When Consequences Fail (Try This Instead)
Q: Lauren from the United States. Daughter loves TV; what consequences help stop fighting and rule-breaking when at friends' or family gatherings?
Make consequences specific (no aggressive behavior) and address underlying causes like fairness and communication; discuss rules briefly and then follow through at home.
When Consequences Fail (Try This Instead)
Q: Danel from the United States. Toddler won't cooperate with either consequence on the Behaviour Board at mealtime; what next?
Prioritize mealtime strategy later in the program, abandon this specific tactic now, and focus on establishing leadership with other behaviors first.
