  • Mouth sounds

I love Liz and I love her TikTok content. I tuned into podcast for first time because I love Jared Fried - wonderful content but Liz keeps sucking in air or making this like slurping sound when she laughs or exclaims/inhales and it’s so hard to hear. Maybe it’s a clogged nose and she can’t breathe through nose but it’s so loud in the microphone. 😭

  • this show brings me joy

I want joy. This show brings me joy. I found this show, listening to the episodes about Artemis II - and I was thrilled to find people having enthusiasm filled conversation about the things that bring joy and hope. Resting my attention on these conversations feels calming and also energizing. The speedy clip of words from the host, Liz, does not require me to speed up playback to 1.5 x or more - instead, I can follow along like I’m conversing with an ADHD bestie. You bring me joy!

Whimsymaxx Your Own Disappointment
Q: So how do I trust myself more in these moments? How do I stop shrinking and actually advocate for myself and my ideas?
The host suggests practicing small-scale assertiveness to build muscle, adopting an alter ego for high-stakes moments, and using references like role models (e.g., Dua Lipa or Trevor) to inform behavior, while also reminding that confidence grows with repeated action and doing esteemable acts.
One Woman's Ick is Another Woman's Husband with Jared Freid
Q: How should someone approach starting conversations in public when dating, according to the guest?
Keep it simple and genuine, start with a light compliment like noticing their shoes or the moment's context, and avoid over-the-top lines; be prepared for rejection but aim to be kind and respectful.
NASA Girl Summer
Q: What are your thoughts on the role of faith or spirituality in a field driven by precise science?
Naia explains that faith and science can coexist; the vastness of space strengthens her sense of a higher power and reinforces humility before the universe, rather than conflict between belief and scientific inquiry.
NASA Girl Summer
Q: How does the Artemis II week impact your view on humanity and our place in the universe?
The week amplified the sense of wonder and the need to protect and nurture the curiosity that drives science, while also highlighting the fragility of life and the importance of collaboration across disciplines and nations.
NASA Girl Summer
Q: What was it like to watch the Artemis II mission unfold and to be part of that moment?
Naia describes it as a unifying, awe-inspiring crossroad where humanity glimpsed what is possible when people come together; the moment reinforced the importance of space exploration as a shared human achievement.
