  • Wisdom & Support from a doctor

I have been listening to Dr. Deming’s podcast since she launched it in 2021, and it has been a source of support in my own path towards healing and finding my soul work. I am a full-time clinical physician, mother of 2, wife of 24 years. The interviews and topics covered are relevant for anyone, not just for cancer patients. The podcast has opened my curiosity about sound and vibration in healing, water, and fasting periods as a path towards listening to my mind and body. Katie’s gift is be... more

  • Compassion, Hope, and Science

I discovered Dr. Katie on IG soon after being diagnosed with two primary cancers and quickly binged this podcast. What sets Born to Heal apart is her whole-person view of healing (mind, body, spiritual, and lifestyle), not just another procedure or prescription.

I became a paying client and completed a 30-day medically supervised water fast. Two weeks after finishing the fast and careful refeeding, I genuinely feel better than I have since my diagnosis. Maybe the best money I’ve ever spent.

  • Working with Dr Katie

I’ve been listening to Dr. Katie’s podcast for a while, and it’s incredibly informative. She’s the first doctor I’ve encountered who truly integrates the whole body in her approach. She teaches you how to heal naturally, and her podcast is full of free, valuable knowledge.

I recently joined her 3-day water fast, and it was a beautiful experience. She was very present each day, answering all our questions—and we all had plenty! I had fasted before, but her guidance and the supportive community m... more

She Fasted 27 Days and Found Something Unexpected | Cancer Healing ft. Karen Hannon | EP 138
Q: Can you describe how the daily contact and group support impacted your experience?
Having daily coaching, monitoring, and a caring community created safety and accountability. It prevented me from slipping back into old patterns, helped me interpret lab data, and provided emotional support that made the process feel sustainable and transformative.
She Fasted 27 Days and Found Something Unexpected | Cancer Healing ft. Karen Hannon | EP 138
Q: It sounds like you had to decide to stop your life and let your body lead the process. What marked that turning point for you?
It was when I realized that the fear and constant busy-ness were blocking healing. By stopping, I could listen to my body, let go of distractions, and allow emotions and trauma to surface, which enabled true healing to begin beyond just the fasting.

Q: Please tell us, what is that fully integrated oncology hospital vision about?
Dr. Winters outlines a bold, global concept for an integrated oncology hospital that combines conventional cancer care with holistic, mind-body-spirit modalities to create a more cohesive, patient-centered system.
She Didn't Want Her Water Fast to End [Here's Why] | ft. Faith Laux - Bonus
Q: Can you explain like when did that happen for you in the fast, and when did you start feeling really good?
Faith describes experiencing a shift around day six or seven, where energy and clarity return, and the sense of a powerful present moment becomes more apparent, making the fast feel more manageable.
30-Day Fast With Cancer: Can You Keep Your Muscle? | EP 134
Q: Did you intend to go all 30 days originally or did that plan evolve during the fast?
My goal was to go 30 days from the start, but the decision to continue past two weeks was influenced by ongoing measurements showing preserved muscle and favorable body composition.
