  • Wisdom & Support from a doctor

I have been listening to Dr. Deming’s podcast since she launched it in 2021, and it has been a source of support in my own path towards healing and finding my soul work. I am a full-time clinical physician, mother of 2, wife of 24 years. The interviews and topics covered are relevant for anyone, not just for cancer patients. The podcast has opened my curiosity about sound and vibration in healing, water, and fasting periods as a path towards listening to my mind and body. Katie’s gift is be... more

  • Compassion, Hope, and Science

I discovered Dr. Katie on IG soon after being diagnosed with two primary cancers and quickly binged this podcast. What sets Born to Heal apart is her whole-person view of healing (mind, body, spiritual, and lifestyle), not just another procedure or prescription.

I became a paying client and completed a 30-day medically supervised water fast. Two weeks after finishing the fast and careful refeeding, I genuinely feel better than I have since my diagnosis. Maybe the best money I’ve ever spent.

  • Working with Dr Katie

I’ve been listening to Dr. Katie’s podcast for a while, and it’s incredibly informative. She’s the first doctor I’ve encountered who truly integrates the whole body in her approach. She teaches you how to heal naturally, and her podcast is full of free, valuable knowledge.

I recently joined her 3-day water fast, and it was a beautiful experience. She was very present each day, answering all our questions—and we all had plenty! I had fasted before, but her guidance and the supportive community m... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

20 Years in Oncology Never Taught Me THIS | Fasting, Fear, & the Path to True Healing | EP 146
Q: What does the body know that we've been trained to ignore, and how did the crack in your foundation change your approach to healing?
Dr. Deming describes a fundamental shift from chasing cancer with conventional strategies to listening to the body's signals, recognizing illness as a message, and adopting a holistic approach that includes emotional, physiological, and spiritual alignment. This led to a new practice centered on conscious healing, where fasting and mindful processing of emotions are used to restore balance.
Mistletoe: The Cancer Therapy OUT OF REACH in America | ft. Dr. Nasha Winters | EP 144
Q: Is there anyone who shouldn't be getting Mistletoe?
Mistletoe should be used with caution in active autoimmune states or with new immune therapies unless guided by an experienced clinician; certain forms may cause stronger swelling and are avoided in space-occupying lesions like brain or lung tumors; overall, there are very few contraindications when used by trained practitioners.
Mistletoe: The Cancer Therapy OUT OF REACH in America | ft. Dr. Nasha Winters | EP 144
Q: Can people do Mistletoe while they're fasting as well?
Yes, mistletoe can be used alongside fasting; in practice, patients often fast around chemotherapy and radiation while continuing mistletoe to stabilize glucose metabolism and support the immune system, with timing individualized by the clinician.
Mistletoe: The Cancer Therapy OUT OF REACH in America | ft. Dr. Nasha Winters | EP 144
Q: What is this therapy? Why are you so interested in this therapy? And what is it?
Mistletoe therapy is an injectable extract used to support the immune system and modulate the tumor environment; it has a long history in Europe and has shown immune modulation, tumor effects, and quality-of-life benefits, which is why it's of interest to integrate with conventional cancer care.
Sugar Cravings Are NOT About Food (Why Willpower Always Fails) ft. Matty Lansdown, Nutritionist | EP 139
Q: What is the practical first step for someone who feels out of control around sugar that goes beyond willpower or going cold turkey?
Start with self-observation: track what you eat, how you feel, and what was happening before the craving. Use a simple checklist to identify triggers, then gradually change environments and routines to reduce exposure, while addressing emotional factors with support or therapy. Supplements can help, but they should complement, not replace, the emotional work and lifestyle changes.
