I am grateful for Robert and his tender care and thoughtful words.
If you want stale and recycled reflections on life and faith, then this isn’t the podcast for you. Robert (and guests) keep it real. Their thoughts and discussions are fresh. They might even make you uncomfortable (lean into it). But ultimately they are concerned with helping folks pursue and live a life marked by love. If that’s something you aspire towards, then this is the podcast for your
…like I like my coffee: strong, soothing, a catalyst for awakening, and quite Black. Robert’s cadence is soothing, his conversation is inviting and unpretentious, and the discussions are profound. This podcast is such a relaxing and encouraging listen. I recommend.
I’m not sure how, but this podcast is not offensive to me, even as someone who doesn’t read their bible anymore or pray with my hands folded and eyes closed anymore… he has built a table, a safe yet still sacred space, for all of us. He is gentle and funny and precious and I learn a lot from these podcast episodes and walk away more at peace than I was when I got here. That’s the kind of table I like to sit at. I especially loved the episode with Marielle T. about Enjoying God.
Robert Monson is a balm to the weary soul, and his theological considerations are equal parts brilliant and gentle. He’s a poet who leads us in digital devotionals through the strength of his perfect radio voice alone. Do yourself a favor and add this pod to your list during these exhausting times. You’ll be glad you did.
