  • Podcast great but the Robbie Bent episode knocked it out of park!

I just started listening to this podcast and I’m hooked. The guest are terrific and do most of the talking. Wade doesn’t need to listen to himself talk so the listener gets educated by guests that are passionate about their topic. And I have listened to Robbie Bent episode 3 times.

  • Talks over guests

I’m interested his subjects but it’s so frustrating to hear him talk over experts he has on his show and go on long monologues that distract from hearing his guest’s views.

295: Your Fatigue Has Hidden Roots - with Martha Carlin
Q: What are the practical best practices to reduce endotoxin load in the gut?
Avoid processed foods and high sugar diets that feed pathogenic microbiome profiles, minimize gut-damaging exposures (smoking, certain cleaners, and problematic personal care products), eat organic or know farming practices to reduce chemical exposures, ensure clean water, and support the gut lining with minerals and enzymes to improve digestion and nutrient uptake.
301: The Menopause Gut Connection - with Cynthia Thurlow
Q: How does the gut tie into menopause, and why is fiber important?
The gut microbiome changes with aging and hormonal shifts, with estrogen decline driving shifts toward inflammatory bacteria; fiber supports the production of short-chain fatty acids like butyrate, which help regulate inflammation, blood sugar, and brain function, making gut health central to managing menopause symptoms.
301: The Menopause Gut Connection - with Cynthia Thurlow
Q: What defines menopause and when does perimenopause begin?
Menopause is defined as 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period, while perimenopause typically starts five to seven years beforehand, often in the mid to late 30s, with a range of symptoms including anxiety, sleep disruption, and hormonal fluctuations.
294: Oral Health "Mouth Mapping" - Jonathan Levine
Q: How did you come to view mouth health as connected to systemic health?
My background in immunology and dentistry, along with decades of clinical and research work, showed that oral bacteria enter the bloodstream and influence inflammation in distant organs, linking periodontal disease to diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and even neurodegenerative processes; this spurred a push toward preventive, integrated care.
302: Superhuman to Survivor - with Roger Snipes / Awesome Health Podcast
Q: Did you change anything about your routine during treatment?
There was collaboration with medical care to manage treatment; the guest continued some supplements outside the hospital and adopted a nutrition-focused approach, keeping emphasis on overall health while acknowledging medical guidance that limited supplement use during chemotherapy. This included attention to sleep, stress, and later testosterone therapy after diagnosis of low testosterone.
