  • So Good…

I subscribe to lots of dark/horror/weird/uncanny/ghost-story type podcasts and shows, and this one is just EXCELLENT. It has all the ingredients I love most about all my favorites, ingredients that make a show more than a show, ingredients that work in harmony together to make an immersive and charming and warmly eerie EXPERIENCE. Please keep it up, Bill! All of it. In exactly the way you’ve been doing it—or however you want to… I’m sure your instincts won’t fail you. Thank you for giving us the... more

  • Wonderful Interpretations

A man skilled at juggling someone else’s words, a definitive mood, while punching the emotion of a piece, all at the same time. Not an easy feat. Well worth the listen and certainly a follow. Thank you for these interpretations, Sir. They are not just a joy to listen to, but also, a masterclass for fellow actors.

  • Calming

Bill Oberst Jr is a calming voice for me. He takes me to a place where the dark creatures of my soul can feel accepted. He is breath of heaven in his gothic tales he bestows upon us in reading.

  • Sleep in peace

For a long time I was reluctant to listen to these at night, as Bill suggests, afraid I wouldn’t be able to sleep or would have nightmares. Oh no, not so! I find them so soothing and calm I fall asleep while listening. So far I have started each episode but am asleep before it ends. Since the pandemic I have had trouble sleeping and tried prayer, meditation, progressive muscle relaxation, melatonin and music to help with sleep. I highly recommend Gothic Goodnight. It’s a paradox.
