I’m a UX professional of over 15 years and I find this podcast SO helpful to me STILL in this stage of my career as it reaffirms some of the challenges I confront beyond screen design. New designers would help themselves greatly by listening to Jeremy and his all-star guests chop it up about important topics and be prepared for the arduous yet rewarding career or UX.
Jeremy’s guests talk about the whole practice of UX and aren’t afraid to talk about the real work of UX. Difficult stakeholders, feeling undervalued in a business-first culture, advancing your career in a difficult market. Jeremy’s sense of humor keeps the episodes positive despite the sometimes heavy topics.
The only thing I am not sure about this show is that I really don’t understand the intro line ‘how is your mom and them’. I got no idea what this means but it is very odd for someone to mention my mom.
‘How are you.’ Is the kind of thing you say in a conversation. And even in conversations rarely anyone really care. In a podcast, doesn’t make sense to ask your audience how are you, let alone how is your mom…
Valuable content surrounding all the important, yet oft-overlooked non-design, human stuff that truly makes one an effective UX designer. Jeremy is a fantastic host and asks really great questions to extract the most value from his guests.
