  • With Run2PB it is better with running

Boy oh boy, came here when I joined Run2PB though many said go to IRP. However, when you come here it feels like home. The Run2PB community is spread far and wide, the athletes ability is just as broad. However, the connection between runners and coaches is unparalleled here. The hosts are phenomenal, whether it’s the journey of a runner or getting hit with Chrissos quick fire questions, you’ll find a reason to stay for more.

  • Underrated

I came over from IRP to check this out and ended up staying. Chris and Zacca have a great rapport and the Chasing that Feeling with Elise was 10/10 content...most underrated running pod series getting around. Look forward to Elise 2.0

  • ‘Chasing that feeling’ is a fantastic series

Love your work guys. It’s been awesome to listen to Elise’s preparation of late and the questions from Zacca and Chris are always very considered and prompt some great answers.

Also, I completely agree with Chris’s thoughts regarding the latest Parkrun changes. The next thing to go will be the celebration of 50, 100, 250+ parkrun milestones because that might deter and intimidate first timers!… 😤

Andy Buchanan on Post-Gold Coast Reflections and Sydney Goals & Meet Aryan, Run2PB Athlete, from 3:54> 3:15 Marathoner
Q: How are you approaching Sydney differently this time compared to previous campaigns?
Focusing on keeping powder dry through the hilly course, accepting a tougher preparation window with more downs and ups in mileage, and relying on data and professional guidance to optimize intensity and recovery.
Andy Buchanan on Post-Gold Coast Reflections and Sydney Goals & Meet Aryan, Run2PB Athlete, from 3:54> 3:15 Marathoner
Q: What was the turning point in your progression that led from a 3:54 PB to a 3:15?
A combination of disciplined block training, targeted hill work, and a strong support network including a dietitian, physio, and coach, plus learning to manage pacing and mental cues during long workouts.
EP304: Breaking the Barrier: Anthony Ricupero’s Sub-3 Journey
Q: What was the plan going into the Gold Coast race and how did you adapt on race day?
The plan was to target 410-415 pace and find a pack that could carry that pace, but Anthony faced a golf-ball-sized throat issue and an awkward start. Forest and Anthony adjusted in the moment, staying patient and prioritizing distance from 30km onward to stay on track for sub-3.
Fixed-Rate Footsteps: Mitch Woods on Locking in a Sub-3 Marathon
Q: What advice would you give your 18-year-old self?
Believe in yourself and trust your coach, while embracing the learned lessons from earlier training blocks.

Q: What are your thoughts on pacing and strategy for races like the Sydney Marathon block?
Focus on finding a rhythm in a pack, not chasing watch times, and tapering into race day with realistic expectations.
