We've been talking a lot about Yahweh's sovereignty for the last couple of weeks how does our sin fit in the plan? What happens when believers sin? We know that our salvation is secure so does it matter if we sin?
Most believers would affirm that Yahweh is sovereign but would deny His sovereignty over every event that happens in time. Either Yahweh is sovereign over everything or He is not sovereign.
We talked last week about "the given" which had to do with those the Father has given to the Son as a love gift. This refers to the elect, which raised the question: How does a person know if they're part of the elect?
Over and over the Bible calls believers "the given." This is because the Father has given the elect to the Son as a love gift.

They changed the way I view the end of the world teachings taught in modernity simply by applying audience relevance and historical context to the scriptures. It’s plane as day to see that the events describing what we call the “end of the world” (actually means end of the age not world) or eschatological events, were obviously for those people to whom it was written to (in the time of Christ) not some event relevant to our future. The 2nd coming of Christ happened already-in the time around 7... more
For the past couple of years I’ve been “attending” church services via YouTube, the Berean Bible Church and Pastor David Curtis. The Bible finally makes sense to me as Pastor Curtis teaches very much in every Sunday’s lesson. If you are looking for a new church to call home I highly suggest you check out the Berean Bible Church; you won’t be disappointed. A thank you goes out to Pastor David Curtis for making me fall in love with Bible Study for the first time in my life. God bless you all.
I have listened to Berean Bible Church for several years. To say I have been uncomfortable at times with what has been taught, is an understatement. I have a good friend that had introduced me to many of these "uncomfortable" topics, as well as proper Bible study skills (heurmanuetics), so after further research, I feel that Berean's teachings are Biblically sound. There are a couple of areas, I need to study more thoroughly, and I'm looking forward to it. If you are not familiar with the idea... more

Good solid preaching. I don't have a good local church so I listen to the sermons here. I am learning a lot. Thank you!

This show features in-depth expository Bible teaching from a Berean Bible Church perspective, with a focus on sovereignty, election, end-times, and how biblical narratives shape practical faith. Episodes frequently tackle theological controversies (Calvinism vs. Arminianism, divine council concepts, and dispensational vs. non-dispensational readings) and include audience Q&A, personal testimonies, and cross-references to Scripture. A standout is the consistently unapologetic emphasis on God's sovereignty and grace, along with a willingness to challenge conventional church interpretations. Listeners are likely seeking rigorous, scripture-first analysis and practical faith applications grounded in Reformed theology and early Christian history... more
