I was saved in a Calvary Chapel and bought into their end times teaching because it was the only option. It’s not so strange that it is still so popular. The world does seem crazy with no way out. I have certainly been on a theological journey, that’s for sure. I was saved through the ministry of a fundamental Baptist church back in 1973. Started building a library of dispensationalist and fundamentalist books. I favored the Dallas Seminary Professor books. When I got to Chafers chapter in his Systematic Theology on the Divine Decrees, I took a somewhat sovereign view of God’s control of all things, but still rejected 5 point Calvinism as being hyper-Calvinism according to fundamentalism.... more
