Behind the Sins

I’ve liked the show for a long time, however I just can’t get behind the new format. They spent so long building this group dynamic and then just threw it out and went for one on one interviews which is ok, but it really killed a huge amount of the comedy and killed the group banter which is really why I listened in the first place. It went from something special and unique in its form to something that, in my opinion, is dry and lacking character.

I must say: as sad as I was to see the old format go, Aaron (this one) and the new format did not take a long time to grow on me. In fact, from the first episode on, Aarons approach and manner were feeling comfortable:

Format changed in September 2022. Old episodes are fantastic, new episodes aren’t worth your time.

Do you know how long it took for me to figure out how to review?? Like way too long. For any other podcast I probably would have given up, but I persevered because Behind The Sins is a podcast that deserves my reviewing effort. Hearing about the writing process is always interesting and often hilarious. Aaron, Jonathan, and Deneé are wonderful and I’m always eager to listen to their takes.

Giving you guys 5 starts for the sole fact that Aaron accidentally gave my hometown of London Ontario a shoutout in this weeks episode (#81). London is home to the Thames River, not to be confused with the River Thames.

Yo, if there’s ever a movie about my life, I’m currently a busser at a Texas Roadhouse; so please add a “kids” sin for every table with children I’ve had to clean or moving booster seats across half the place, would my movie deserve that many sins, honestly not out of the question 🤷🏽‍♂️

I finally have finished listening to all 77 episodes and this has been so fun!! I’m trying to binge sincast but this was easier!! Y’all have been so fun to listen to and it’s so fun to hear everything behind the videos made for cinemasins, tvsins, and music video sins!! I’ve had hella fun listening and really is great content!!

Aaron, Johnathan, and Denee are the best team one could hope for for the inside scoop on everything sinful! The best part: You don’t have to watch all the CinimaSins, TvSins, and MusicSins videos to enjoy the conversation. Stay until the end because the outtakes are hilarious! Luv ya guys!!
