  • One of the few podcasts I have consistently listened to for years. I've found that Laura's tips not only help me to use my time better, but to use it to bring more joy and pleasure into my life as well. Thanks Laura!

  • I can't really listen anymore. I get that it's short and ads help pay the bills but some of the episodes, many of the episodes, are 3/4 or more ads.

Also, I seem to have reached a point of "deja vu" where many new episodes seem like she's covering old topics again just with a slightly different approach.

I enjoyed it up until now.

  • Used to Love

I used to listen, and recently returned but as much as I mostly enjoy the tips - all shows feel like 65% of the time is dedicated to ads. Too much. Sorry - I’m out .

  • Short over long, content over delivery and pronunciation

The content is great, and I can often take something I’ve heard and put it into action. Oddly enough, that only happens with the shorter episodes. I no longer even try to listen to the longer ones because I don’t find them relevant or helpful, and the interviews are all over the place. I agree with many that Laura’s delivery is “off” but it’s clear she’s not willing to change, so I try to focus on the great content instead of the cadence and the irritating way she pronounces “converZation.”

Achieve time freedom, with Brian Herriot
Q: What practical steps did you take to implement more time off this summer?
We limited summers to four weeks in Wisconsin for now and planned to extend time off once our son goes to college, while continuing work on pre-sales and the book launch.
Achieve time freedom, with Brian Herriot
Q: How can someone start building time freedom if they're not an entrepreneur?
Develop a valuable skill, aim for roles that honor flexible schedules, and consider how you can compress services or shift to months with more time off, possibly with a supportive team or assistant.
Achieve time freedom, with Brian Herriot
Q: What does time freedom mean to you, and how is it different from work-life balance or financial freedom?
Time freedom is about structuring your life around the times you want to work and play, not just balancing hours. It can include seasonal or yearly planning and doesn't require you to stop working; it enables choosing work that fits your life, rather than forcing a traditional career path.
Make good things last, with Eric Ries
Q: What role does experimentation play in your work and writing pads?
I embrace a lean, experimental mindset, trying new approaches but ready to discard ideas that don't work, to maintain progress and flow.
Make good things last, with Eric Ries
Q: What does your schedule look like on a usual day?
A chaotic but purpose-driven routine with many roles, a heavy emphasis on spending time with family, and delegating logistics to free time for substantive work.
