The format and knowledge of these two experts is top drawer for a newcomer amateur to WW1 tracing family involvement .
Genuinely knowledgeable and the information is put across in a very easy and gripping format.

Just wanted to drop a quick line to say how much I enjoy this podcast. Matt and Peter are knowledgeable, amusing and come across really well. I actually had the pleasure of running into Peter at Thiepval last year and he is a very friendly guy. I listen to lots of FWW and SWW pods and although not so well known as others, and with an Aussie flavour to boot, this one is a great listen and I never miss it. Well done!
Very interesting way to virtually visit a battlefield. The details are amazing. If they put this content as a podcast, their guided tours must be brilliant. I will be using their guide services in the future.
The battlewalk is a fantastic adventure through both World War battlefields. As an avid reader of WW1 battles, I have particularly enjoyed the detail provided by Matt and Pete to understand not just the battle, but it's context at the time. Their descriptions and understanding of military tactics and equipment also makes this a must listen to for anyone wanting to learn more about our sacred battlefields.
