  • Episode 2 brought me to tears!

J.J.’s genuineness and expertise comes through in every moment of this 2nd episode. “Heroes’ power doesn’t come from knowing it all,

it comes from choosing a way to move forward.” Redeeming our failures and flops, and using them to strengthen ourselves and others is a main theme of this episode. I cannot wait to hear more. Thank you J.J. for being you and sharing your wisdom and perspective with the rest of us!

Maybe Consistency Isn't The Goal
Q: Let's talk about that. What has these last couple weeks been like for you?
Melissa describes a surge of overwhelming positivity around reclaiming a song and the ensuing conversations, alongside a commitment to allyship and openness to ongoing change.
What If You Had Nothing To Prove?
Q: So how do I do this, you know, quickly?
Angus explains there are two main areas—external factors (world, social media, AI) that heighten stress, and internal factors (permission and belief) that allow change; progress comes from aligning input with desired outcomes and taking immediate steps, even if small.
People Experience You Before They Hear You
Q: How do colors translate into impression during negotiations or funding discussions?
Blue for trust, calm, and reliability; navy for formality and credibility; accents like red for ambition help you project readiness to lead, while ensuring the overall look supports the message you want to deliver.

Q: What should someone think about wearing when they enter a new space to reflect their brand?
The guest explains starting from a clear intent: choose colors and pieces that communicate the core values you want others to perceive, test combinations, and ensure you feel confident and comfortable to project authentic leadership.
