  • The Best for Booklovers

Cara has, hands down, the most melodious and measured broadcasting voice: I can hear and understand her and have time to really think about her thoughtful, meticulously expressed observations about whatever book is under discussion. Her analysis is well-reasoned, balanced and supported by specific references or examples. Cara does not mince words. • A nice change of pace

This is a really pleasant podcast. The host has a nice voice which makes all the difference in the world in the podcast universe. The books are summed up well, but still leave you wanting to know more, which is a nice way to lead you to reading the actual books. This is not the type of podcast I typically listen to, I’m more of a true crime person, so these short episodes are a nice “palate cleanser” between my other listens.
