  • Almost perfect!!

Anna, I love the podcast and the guests featured and information provided is incredible! I do find the interview style a little quick sometimes and wish that she would dig a little deeper on some of her guests responses instead of moving on so abruptly. Having said that I think this will improve in time as she becomes a better interviewer! Still giving 5 stars as I’d recommend it to everyone!

  • Too Political for Me

Listened to a few espisodes, but was hoping for unbiased scientific approach. After a few espisodes, I quickly realized that their political/ religious views were skewing the information provided, so I quit listening.

58: Dr. Betsey Caldwell PT, DPT - How To Train Your Pelvic Floor For Childbirth And Beyond
Q: Is cesarean birth always protective of the pelvic floor?
No. Pelvic floor issues can occur after cesarean birth as well, and symptoms may arise from the broader changes during pregnancy and post-partum recovery; decisions should be individualized and guided by a care team.
58: Dr. Betsey Caldwell PT, DPT - How To Train Your Pelvic Floor For Childbirth And Beyond
Q: What are practical tips for managing labor sensations while aiming for a natural birth?
Use tools like a birth ball and a toilet for stability and relaxation, practice breathing and various positions, and rely on a supportive, informed birth team to encourage calmness and effective progression.
58: Dr. Betsey Caldwell PT, DPT - How To Train Your Pelvic Floor For Childbirth And Beyond
Q: How should someone prepare mentally and physically for an unmedicated birth?
Engage in physical conditioning of the deep core and pelvic floor, practice diaphragmatic breathing, learn to relax the pelvic floor, and build a support team including a birth partner and, if possible, a doula to advocate and provide reassurance during labor.
58: Dr. Betsey Caldwell PT, DPT - How To Train Your Pelvic Floor For Childbirth And Beyond
Q: What role does the pelvic floor play in childbirth?
The pelvic floor guides the baby through the birth canal with just enough resistance and must be able to relax during pushing, rather than constantly contracting; relaxation and letting go are as important as strength.
57: Andra Sitoianu - How To Fix Your Hormones So You Can Thrive
Q: What does healthy progesterone signaling look like for women in daily life?
Progesterone should be considered a core fertility hormone, with emphasis on ovulation-driven production, adequate micronutrient support, and balance with cortisol. Lifestyle choices that reduce chronic stress and optimize nutrient intake help maintain robust progesterone levels.
