I found this podcast after watching a movie called “Yi Yi” at a Taiwanese film festival and trying to find a podcast talking about it. I kid you not - half the discussion was about how “white film bros pretend to love this film for attention and brownie points” or words to that effect. Rather than taking the movie on its own terms they kept returning to how “it’s not as good as the film bros make it out to be”. It just felt like a juvenile and cynical way of framing the discussion, not to mentio... more

Hi, decided to listen to your Last Night in Soho review. All I really want to say is I don’t agree that it’s ambiguous whether or not she has powers. I think from scene one it’s clear she can see the dead. The gran says “your mum doesn't have the abilities you have she couldn’t see things like you” I think that is very clear she has powers. That’s it just wanted to say that one thing. Films a 2.5/3 outta 5 for me
To quote my extremely objective husband 5 minutes into an ep after he listened for the first time “wow this is as good or better than How Did This Get Made!”
Kevin and Aya are the best!! What a duo and I will legit watch the films I’ve never seen so I can laugh along with them. Five stars 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
It’s really good. Great combo of analysis as well and fun banter and humor. Big fan. Makes you wanna watch these movies again and report back to hear what the hosts say. It’s good pod
Me (after 1 episode): Ouchy. This intro is loud and it hurts my sweet, sensitive ears.
Me (after 18 episodes): I WAS BUSY THINKIN’ ‘BOUT BOOOOYYYYS!! BOOOOOYYS!! BOOOOOYYYS!!!
One of my favorite podcasts to listen to every week. Super funny and insightful! It’s a pod for everyone, no matter the kind of movie you like
I love this podcast about as much as I love cameras.
The hosts have an awesome dynamic and the conversations are always free flowing and funny. The perfect mix of information and entertainment. My favorite podcast discovery in the pandemic.
This podcast is really good but I wish they would sexualize Marc Maron less.
