Really enjoying the podcasts, but this episode tanked for me when it began to endorse therapists. See Col 2:8. Certified Biblical counseling is one thing, but therapy of the worldly kind which this episode appeared to be endorsing is quite another matter.
I usually cringe at most “masculine” podcasts. They often feel shallow or built on a tough-guy persona. But this one has been different. Seth comes across as strong, yet gentle; grounded, yet open about his inner life. He offers a vision of manhood that is rooted in Scripture rather than cultural stereotypes, and that has been genuinely transformative for me to listen to. PTL for that.
Seth models what it means to be a man, a father, a son, and—above all—a child/son of God.
My 18-year old son listens to each episode when it comes out. With so many competing voices trying to define masculinity, Seth offers clear biblically informed direction to a generation of men desperately in need of it! Highly recommend!
My daughter just got engaged and the boy is not quite there with Jesus but he’s open. He’s been listening to the short bits by Seth and it’s been a digestible way for him to get a feel for biblical masculinity.
In an era of 3+ hour podcasts, Seth’s short and sweet approach is memorable, thoughtful, and encourages conversation. Biblical wisdom delivered in a clear way that will most likely leave you challenged and refreshed. Highly recommend!
