  • So happy I found this podcast 🙌

I just came across this podcast and as a woman who has suffered from generalized anxiety disorder from a young age, I can tell you that THIS podcast has helped me reframe many of my negative day to day thoughts in a new but simple way that no dr (and I’ve seen many!) have ever suggested.

If you also suffer from GAD, give Georgie’s podcast a listen. It just might change your life 🙌

I started listening to Georgie in the first lockdown and fell in love instantly, it helped me so much with my anxiety through all of the covid lockdowns and I’ve learned so much more! It doesn’t stop to amaze me how resilient Georgie is and how much she knows and shares. This podcast became a part of my life and I’m absolutely grateful for it. Can’t wait to read the book.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP 358: The Neuroscience of Anxiety with Alex Nashton
Q: What's the neurological mechanism to rewiring anxious patterns, and how long does change take?
The timeline varies per person and pattern, but meaningful change depends on depth of ingrained circuits, commitment, and environment; the amygdala drives fear, while the prefrontal cortex can modulate it to support longer-term change.
EP 358: The Neuroscience of Anxiety with Alex Nashton
Q: Alex, what is it that you wish more women knew?
That relational intelligence isn't taught widely, and even highly capable, therapy-versed individuals can struggle in relationships; it's a learnable skill that requires training and support.
EP 356: Chronic Skin Issues, Anxiety & Parenting with Zoe Hunt
Q: If a mom feels overwhelmed, what is the one starting point you'd recommend for someone dealing with their child's eczema?
Work with a professional to create a personalized plan that looks at the skin, gut, diet, sleep, and stress together, so parents can see a clear path forward rather than chasing isolated fixes.
EP 356: Chronic Skin Issues, Anxiety & Parenting with Zoe Hunt
Q: What are some examples of salicylates and how did they affect your approach to your son's eczema?
Salicylates were removed from my son's diet, which helped reduce inflammatory triggers. This highlighted the importance of identifying specific food-related drivers and using data to guide adjustments, rather than assuming a single culprit.
EP 349: How To Hear Your Inner Voice with Georgie Bryant
Q: Georgie, how would you define the inner voice? What is the inner voice?
The inner voice is akin to our intuition, coming from a calm, peaceful place. It's connected to the universe and also linked to our gut's nervous system, which might serve as a secondary brain.
