Compulsive listening for someone like me, but the interpersonal speculation is slides into the absurd. As in, they are literally gaylors for John and Paul. Be warned.
Two podcast hosts challenge the outdated Beatles narrative, backing up every theory they thoroughly outline with tons of objective data. And they do it with humor and highly entertaining wit. It blew my mind upon first listen! Those who still worship at the altar of Lewisohn will cry foul, but all true Beatles fans owe themselves a listen with an open mind. Updated. Way too much OBESESSION on Lennon McCartney relationship. Too much red string and pins. Time for another subject. Sorry but I love this Podcast but it has definitely jumped the shark.
Even though I've been a Beatles fan since my very early teens in the late 70s, I've learnt so much from this podcast. It is so well researched and challenges some of the old narratives that I was never comfortable with, especially around the breakup of the band and the relationship between John and Paul. All of it is done with love, respect and empathy for everyone involved. And as a bonus, these women are very funny, without it being a comedy podcast.
