I generally like Mooch. His constant speaking over his guests, and injecting his own personal anecdotes (that are largely irrelevant) are starting to grate. He also seems rather unprepared for some of these interviews. He described himself as a huge fan of Graydon Carter but thought he was English (he’s Canadian) and that he was responsible for the Demi Moore cover of VF (it was published before he joined VF).

TBH, I could listen to Mr S read the phone book! Listening to him to talk about books and hearing his passion for learning and self-improvement is a real bonus. He offers a subtext of a fascinating insight into the NY mindset.
