  • Questionable?

The show with the guy promoting his 3x bar should frankly be pulled off the air. Putting aside the product placement, and the fact that he is a pretty terrible interviewee, he’s downright dangerous. If you want to promote disordered eating, this guy and his 20 grams max of carbs is your man. Seriously? Counting the carbs in chimichurri sauce? No thanks. I will try some other episodes, but man,

    Not a good look

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How To Build Habits That Actually Stick, with Jon Gordon
Q: Jenny says, I was recently going over some of the new healthy habits that I have, and I was thinking as I was trying to explain to my teenage daughter how uninspiring I sound and how basic it all seems. How do I make it sound more interesting or appealing to her so she will join me in this journey?
The host suggests modeling the behavior rather than delivering a hard pitch—demonstrate the tangible benefits and consistency of your own routine, involve peers or friends to make it more relatable, and recognize that motivation can be sporadic; the real driver is visible, positive results over time.
Why Most Diets Fail With Harley Pasternak
Q: What should a parent tell their teen about weight loss goals and diet changes?
Encourage gradual changes, focus on a positive relationship with food, avoid overcontrol, and help the child experience progress without creating secretiveness or rebellion; involve family habits and model balanced eating.
Ethan Suplee: If you don't know where to start, Start here.
Q: What was the mindset when you gained the weight back after the first tremendous weight loss?
I wasn't tracking diligently at first, and often the weight came back as I failed to maintain a concrete plan; over time I realized I needed a structured approach to maintenance, not just dieting, and began lowering intake gradually while learning to maintain weight.
Ethan Suplee: How I made my Weight loss Stick
Q: What was Jill's question about OMAD and protein intake during that one-meal-a-day protocol?
The guest explains that while OMAD can work for some, achieving adequate protein in a single meal is challenging; recommends spreading protein across the window with smaller portions and optional shakes to protect lean tissue.
Why the 10,000 Steps a Day Rule is a Lie
Q: Hi, Ethan. What happens if I'm doing all the right things, but this scale just won't move?
The guest explains that even when people eat right, plateaus can occur due to factors like unsustainable restrictive dieting; the advice is to count calories to a sustainable deficit and avoid starving, aiming for a modest 20-25% deficit to promote steady weight loss.
