  • Questionable?

The show with the guy promoting his 3x bar should frankly be pulled off the air. Putting aside the product placement, and the fact that he is a pretty terrible interviewee, he’s downright dangerous. If you want to promote disordered eating, this guy and his 20 grams max of carbs is your man. Seriously? Counting the carbs in chimichurri sauce? No thanks. I will try some other episodes, but man,

    Not a good look

Are Screens the New Ultra Processed Food?
Q: What books have helped shape your mindset about food and self-image?
A mix of books that aren't strictly about dieting, including Bird by Bird for writing, Rick Rubin's The Creative Act for creativity and mindset, and Marcus Aurelius' Meditations for discipline and perspective; they offer practical guidance on self-control, perception, and personal narrative.
Staying on Track Over the Weekends - Ethan Suplee
Q: I would like to know if Ethan had surgery to remove loose skin, or if he was able to find a way to tighten it up on his own.
Ethan confirms two surgeries were performed to remove loose skin, acknowledges that significant weight loss can leave excess skin, and explains there is no reliable non-surgical method to fully remove it; he emphasizes the reality of the situation and his personal choices.
Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable, with Ken Rideout
Q: Jessica asks about using nicotine to curb appetite.
Ethan explains nicotine as an addictive substance with medical downsides, emphasizing personal honesty while noting nicotine can function as a temporary tool for some to manage cravings, but doesn't advocate starting it and suggests discussing healthier, sustainable strategies like meal planning and stress management.
Here's How I Changed My Headspace to Deal With Hunger
Q: Have you ever thought of opening a recovery house for food addicts where they can go to get a head start on food addiction and taught nutrition and exercise?
The host discusses the idea of a wellness retreat or boot camp for weight loss, acknowledging the appeal but also the practical and equity challenges, and emphasizes the importance of real-world applicability and sustainability over expensive, luxury options marketed to the affluent.
The Hidden Reason You Can’t Control Your Cravings
Q: Does cardio before weights matter, and should I eat before workouts?
Cardio timing and eating are individualized; overall daily calories and energy balance matter more than strict timing. For many, it's fine to do cardio before lifting or after, and if you don't feel hungry before workouts, you can train fasted as long as you meet needs later in the day.
