This review is late but I love this pocast, speaks to the desi American experience on a deep level.
i love y’all and this podcast is inspirational.
I first heard about it because my friend was a guest on the show, but I have to admit I have completely devoured the entire health season. I'm loving the hosts as well as the guests and the "stupid question" portion is kinda fun. Highly recommend it.
I love listening to this podcast, and wish I had more of these conversation with my Desi friends! I really appreciate the focus on health this season, and how many topics they are able to cover, from both Western and Eastern perspectives. I also like how open Akaash and Arjun have been about their therapy experiences, and hope it encourages more people to seek out therapy and mental wellness.
If I had one critique, it would be that I do feel like the two hosts could do a better job of listening... more

I wasn’t into podcasts, but then I started working a night shift at a tech company and had to pass the time somehow with something other than music.
A friend told me about American Desis, and I’m 4 episodes away from being completely caught up, but I’m sad they haven’t really updated it in recent days, I only started listening late July 2017. I wish I found it sooner so I could’ve sent in my comments to Arjun and Akaash. I’ve identified with many of the episodes and Arjun and Akaash’s banter a... more

Funny, thought provoking and genuine!
I would like the show to explore having a regular female voice. :)

I love the podcast. I could relate to so many stories shared by incredible people.
These guys do a good job on discussing Indian culture and I've learned a lot about the traditions that I didn't know before. Some of the facts that they give don't seem to be correct though. It's just simple things but still. Most of the guests are interesting but at times it's obvious that they couldn't find anyone when they just interview a random friend.
The reason I dropped a star is because these guys don't seem to use microphones when they record the podcast. I'm guessing that it's record... more
Im black, but this profile is 🔥🔥🔥👌🏾
Finally a vessel that can house progressive conversations about being South Asian in this country. I appreciate y'all.
These kids are brilliant. Really thorough on both sides of an argument. I usually have a hard time identifying with anything Indian and have always felt strange because of it, but these dudes have really normalized that feeling and show that it's more common than you'd think
