America the Bilingual is a storytelling podcast designed to inspire people on their journey to bilingualism. We'll listen to people who have become bilingual, especially native-English speakers who learned another language as adults (that is, the hard way). How did they do it? Why did they do it? How do they lead their bilingual lives? You'll find out every two weeks.

I just discovered this wonderful podcast this morning and I cannot stop listening to it. I have been attempting to learn the Spanish language for so many years but it has been a struggle. There are little things, as I listen, I hear from the guests that give me hope and make me happy about my journey. I am grateful for this podcast to share and teach everyone who listens!
Thought-provoking stories of 'regular' Americans & 'immigrant' Americans and the (more than 1) languages they speak. Food for thought for those in The New World who think that because 'the whole world speaks English', no effort would be necessary to add an extra dimension to their lives, by venturing into a second language, a second culture ... abroad.
Listened to all 8 (so far) and can't wait to hear what's next.
Qué bonito que exista esto. <3
Second language acquisition changed the course of my life. Even better than walking in another's shoes is speaking another's language. America the Bilingual is a wonderful contribution to the cause.
