Quite frankly, I found the advice presented as facts potentially dangerous for the sober curious and those wishing or needing to quit alcohol. If I had listened to the statistics so blatantly stated without context or circumstance I may have never quit! I am a doctor and I work with primary care doctors across the age spectrum. The idea that a doctor over 40 will not be open, up to date, able to treat addiction or provide a level of care that doctors under 40 can is not my experience. Furthermore, for your guest to assert that is highly inappropriate and AGEIST.
I see that doctors have unique practice habits that may be more linked to their personalities or other factors, but age doesn't seem to be the deciding factor.
