  • Good information but it’s okay to question this administration.

I started listening podcast so I had some clarity what is happening and Chip cannot speak ill of this administration. The guests were saying this is “enough all ready” and Chip stumbles all over and says we have to sit and wait… no we can speak out! We can hold feet to the fire. You have so many ears and they can write congress and say, “if you do this, we will not support you and one seat changes power. We don’t want that. So stop!”

But talk about “have fun” but Chip you are gonna have to admi... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

AgriTalk-May 15, 2026 AM
Q: Explain it to us, please.
There has been misreporting about ASA's position; ASA fully supports year-round E-15 and believes the other provisions, especially the refinery exemptions, need adjustment to avoid negative impacts on soybean and farm income.
AgriTalk-May 15, 2026 AM
Q: What's the plan going forward, Steve, to address that concern?
The plan is to work with senators and collaborate with corn and ethanol interests to craft a bill that yields a net win for farmers, pursuing year-round E-15 and exploring reallocation of small refinery exemptions as a path to fix the current gaps.
AgriTalk-May 20, 2026 AM
Q: Are the production contracts for contract hog growers year to year or multi-year?
Most contracts are multi-year or evergreen, with automatic renewals but a possibility of negotiation periods; terms often align with barn financing and contract length.
AgriTalk-May 13, 2026 AM
Q: What were the takeaways from the fertilizer industry hearing at the Senate Ag Committee yesterday?
Josh Linville notes that he didn't watch the hearing closely but emphasizes that actions matter more than rhetoric and that long-term fixes require proactive steps rather than short-term political theater. He suggests focusing on longer-term strategies for production and resilience instead of immediate fixes.
AgriTalk-April 27, 2026 AM
Q: What are the main hurdles for year-round E-15 in the Farm Bill?
The main hurdles are getting a waiver from leadership due to jurisdiction and potential vote-count impacts, as well as concerns about the cost implications evaluated by the CBO.
