  • I look forward to it each day!

This show is great! I find the outlook on national policy and politics from a rural perspective to be very informative and valuable. The guests are terrific. Getting the insight of policymakers and industry leaders on such such important, and current, issues each day is something I look forward to.

Davis is embarrassing for ag, give him a month off and see what the results are.

  • Not a fan of Davis

Davis should host no shows. He’s a hype man. He has poor questions for guest on the program. After the market report I turn it off. When Chip is hosting there’s good information. The show spends a to much time tongue wagging for politicians, instead of asking uncomfortable questions.

I realize Steffes group invested a lot with you guys but I can’t listen to machinery Pete it’s a terrible segment.

Chip & Davis and the entire crew do an incredible job of providing a daily recap. The beauty of this show is you can listen to it live or tune in at your own convenience.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

AgriTalk-April 20, 2026 PM
Q: Are you concerned about dryness in the second crop in South America, particularly Safrina corn in Brazil?
Yes, there is concern as Brazil's second crop enters its dry season; late soybean harvests and delayed planting push reproductive stages into drier periods, which could tighten global corn supplies and support prices longer term.
AgriTalk-April 20, 2026 PM
Q: What do you know about how cold it got and what damage there was?
There were reports of hard frost down to around 20 degrees in some areas, likely causing stress in wheat and potential yield impact. However, exact damage ratings may lag a week or two as reports come in, so early assessments are cautious and the market is awaiting more data.
AgriTalk-April 16, 2026 PM
Q: How might the China meeting and trade talks influence soybean and other ag commodities near term?
China demand remains a key uncertain pillar; any expanded trade deal could boost soybeans and related products, but traders are watching for concrete commitments and sustained purchases beyond short-term chatter.
AgriTalk-April 16, 2026 PM
Q: What is driving the current strength in HRW wheat and is there more upside tied to drought expectations?
The drought in the Western Plains is the primary driver, with May rains seen as a potential turn, but the premium for HRW over SRW remains justified given global supply concerns and the frost risk in the mix.
AgriTalk-April 10, 2026 PM
Q: What's the biggest challenge right now, Angie, as far as risk management goes?
Angie describes staying committed to a plan amid volatile moves, managing emotion, and using incremental selling with clearly defined target orders to lock in parts of the book while staying flexible as markets move.
