  • I look forward to it each day!

This show is great! I find the outlook on national policy and politics from a rural perspective to be very informative and valuable. The guests are terrific. Getting the insight of policymakers and industry leaders on such such important, and current, issues each day is something I look forward to.

  • Give Davis a month off

Davis is embarrassing for ag, give him a month off and see what the results are.

  • Not a fan of Davis

Davis should host no shows. He’s a hype man. He has poor questions for guest on the program. After the market report I turn it off. When Chip is hosting there’s good information. The show spends a to much time tongue wagging for politicians, instead of asking uncomfortable questions.

I realize Steffes group invested a lot with you guys but I can’t listen to machinery Pete it’s a terrible segment.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

AgriTalk-July 9, 2026 PM
Q: How is China's buying behavior affecting soybean prices ahead of the WASDE?
China's current import activity in soybeans is keeping a floor under prices, with buyers visible before the WASDE; if this pace continues, it could limit downside and support a rally, depending on confirmable purchases vs. rumors.
AgriTalk-July 9, 2026 PM
Q: What is the main factor traders are watching as the WASDE approaches?
The main factor is how weather developments and El Niño effects interact with crop yields and stocks, driving risk premium and market direction, especially in corn, soybeans, and wheat.
AgriTalk-July 13, 2026 PM
Q: Naomi, how do the crops look in your area?
Naomi describes favorable conditions with timely rains in Wisconsin and heat that is helping crops, while noting concerns if rainfall is insufficient in the coming weeks and stressing the importance of yield prospects as pollination advances.
AgriTalk-July 14, 2026 PM
Q: What is driving the near-term market strength in soybeans and corn according to Dan Basse?
Strong demand signals, notably from China, ongoing crush margins, and global supply tightness—especially as export channels are affected by Black Sea disruptions—are the main drivers anticipated to push markets higher after the August crop report.
AgriTalk-June 24, 2026 PM
Q: What is the near-term driver for grain prices according to Frayne Olson?
Weather and drought signals, plus the upcoming acreage and stocks reports, are the dominant near-term drivers, with China trade developments providing potential upside as harvest approaches.
