  • I look forward to it each day!

This show is great! I find the outlook on national policy and politics from a rural perspective to be very informative and valuable. The guests are terrific. Getting the insight of policymakers and industry leaders on such such important, and current, issues each day is something I look forward to.

  • Not a fan of Davis

Davis should host no shows. He’s a hype man. He has poor questions for guest on the program. After the market report I turn it off. When Chip is hosting there’s good information. The show spends a to much time tongue wagging for politicians, instead of asking uncomfortable questions.

I realize Steffes group invested a lot with you guys but I can’t listen to machinery Pete it’s a terrible segment.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

AgriTalk-May 29, 2026 PM
Q: What's next after the headlines-driven selling—can markets return to fundamentals?
The guests suggested that while headlines will continue to sway sentiment, traders will look to core supply-demand fundamentals, with hedging and option strategies helping producers manage risk during transitions.
AgriTalk-May 27, 2026 PM
Q: What could anchor or help prices move higher in the near term?
If export demand, especially for corn, and better-than-expected domestic processing margins support demand, while weather or crop data shift expectations, prices could find a floor or rebound.
AgriTalk-May 27, 2026 PM
Q: Is this all still about war headlines?
Yes, the hosts and guests agree the Iran peace talks and related headlines are a major driver, but there is also underlying chart action and export demand that could affect prices beyond headlines.
AgriTalk-May 25, 2026 PM
Q: Is there evidence of herd rebuilding in the cattle sector based on the CattleFax survey, and how might that affect prices going forward?
The survey indicates appetite to expand (about 51%), with higher calf values and profitability supporting a rebuild, though drought and high costs will influence the pace and scale of expansion and when heifers are retained.
AgriTalk-May 25, 2026 PM
Q: Do you think the market is topping given the volatility under the May highs?
The guests suggest that while volatility remains, whether a true top is in depends on ongoing demand signals, especially from China for corn and continued strong beef demand, plus how weather and fertilizer costs shape acreage and yields.
