  • Beverley goes above and beyond!

I’ve been lucky enough to be on a lot of podcasts but Beverley does the most work to make sure that her show provides tangible value to her listeners. She does extensive pre-interviews, she’s not afraid to say no to people who aren’t a fit, she does her homework and asks great, specific questions of her guests. And she is a warm and enthusiastic host. So I recommend this podcast because I know of the quality that is poured into it—and therefore the quality of content that comes out of it!

In the past months, while promoting my new book, I’ve done dozens of interviews and Beverly is in my top 4. She’s a completely engaged, clearly enthusiastic, radiating smarts woman who stays completely connected to the speaker in an authentic I-hear-you way that made me want to reach through the podcast screen for a long thank-you hug. Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Cancer Diagnosis: How to Take Back Control
Q: So what do you think is the biggest mistake that women who have a cancer problem, or any problem, make navigating the health care system?
The biggest mistake is not taking time to understand their own priorities and not seeking a second opinion or another doctor who can explain things in a way that resonates; patients should investigate and ensure fit with their life as much as with the medicine.
Menopause After 50: Why You Don’t Feel Like Yourself Anymore
Q: How should women think about bioidentical hormones today?
They should seek individualized care, review current data, and understand that while bioidenticals can offer benefits for brain health and disease prevention, medical supervision is essential to balance risks and ensure proper dosing.
Menopause After 50: Why You Don’t Feel Like Yourself Anymore
Q: What sparked your interest in hormone therapy and menopause management?
Her early experiences with traditional hormone therapies and later exposure to bioidenticals, along with observations from patients who felt better with hormone optimization, pushed her toward a more individualized, data-informed approach.
Confidence After 50: The Words That Shape Your Identity
Q: Where can people find you and learn more about Words We Wear?
The best starting point is my website verajervais.com, with links to my book, TEDx talk, Substack, and social profiles like LinkedIn and Instagram.
Confidence After 50: The Words That Shape Your Identity
Q: What last piece of counsel would you offer to listeners looking to reinvent themselves?
Treat yourself as a leader, stop identifying by traditional labels like your job or family roles, and start using empowering words that reflect your true potential to lead your own life.
