I’m legitimately bummed out that Spotify cancelled this show. I’ve listened to almost every episode for at least five years, and it seems like Spotify/The Ringer are hoping to get a more popular show, but most of these prescribed podcasts with big name celebrities are not original or interesting. It’s just rich people telling each other how great they are. What makes a podcast truly special is when a group of friends in real life are letting you into s snapshot of their ordinary conversations, a... more
I loved listening to this podcast and was sad to see it go. The secret sauce was the slightly below average gambling advice, which stitched humility, camaraderie, and humor between the hosts and the audience.
Good luck Sal + D3; I hope to run into you again someday.
I guess file this under too little too late. This was my favorite podcast on the Ringer. Four best friends viewing the sporting landscape through gambling eyes before discussing lines was the norm. None of the garbage fake over laughter from podcasts hopes trying to fake on air chemistry, and none of the hyper analytical details that sap the joy out of any conversation. I followed them once when they went out on their own (sort of) and would happily do it again.
