  • Insightful and so lovely to listen to

Recently diagnosed ADHD and I may also be autistic but not sure yet. I’ve been looking for a really good podcast to help me understand myself. This is the first pod that’s worked for me. I’ve just listened to my first episode and it was Ep 548 - and it was incredibly insightful and validating. I appreciate the courage it took to be so vulnerable. It has helped so much.

The Desire Gap: ADHD, Sex, and Mismatched Libido with Laura Jurgens EP 563
Q: Can you share an example of a specific like exercise that you coached maybe one of your clients through?
We start with self-attunement, teaching people to sense their body, then move to partner attunement, and finally practice safe, gentle communication to express needs and boundaries, which builds confidence and makes intimacy more connected rather than pressured.
Doing It the Way Your Brain Actually Works (561)
Q: What do you wish you would have known before starting your first book that you now understand now?
I wish I had known that receiving one-star reviews is a part of the process and that it's important to focus on what truly matters rather than doing everything the publisher suggests.
Doing It the Way Your Brain Actually Works (561)
Q: So what kind of structure was helpful that the publisher set up for you?
It was a self-help book publisher, New Harbinger, and they provided a template or script for the writing process, which helped keep me on track with regular feedback and deadlines.
559 ADHD & AuDHD Burnout: Why Community & Accountability Still Matter Personal Updates & Listener Questions
Q: What does burnout look like for you?
Burnout includes feelings of apathy, being rudderless, and needing considerably more downtime and recovery time than usual.
559 ADHD & AuDHD Burnout: Why Community & Accountability Still Matter Personal Updates & Listener Questions
Q: How has the grief of losing your dad impacted your nervous system and burnout?
It reinforced that I still have a lot of work to do and it didn't help my burnout process, but I allowed myself to grieve.
