Have been a long time listener of Alex’s other film podcast, Clash of the Titles (also an outstanding listen), so decided to give this a try as a true “Zane-iac.” Absolutely love the show - it has a great mix of guests, well-curated format, and you can always count on Alex to bring the laughs. In particular, it’s fascinating to hear directly from filmmakers and respected film journalists which movies (and movie scenes) shaped their love of cinema. Thank you, Alex, for another fantastic pod - ver... more

A truly great listen and it’s fascinating to see how others approach a Trip to the movies. I’ve loved going to the cinema since I first went to see Who framed Roger Rabbit as a kid. Alex is a great host and each guest so far has been brilliant. Although, any one picking hotdogs or nachos as a snack should be instantly thrown out. I give it two thumbs up. Keep up the good work.

Really, really enjoyed it especially being the same age as them and 100% getting the details of the movie references and how it relates to our childhoods. Only point of argument is Last Crusade being the best Indy movie. It’s a major favorite of mine but between that ... more

Instead of the usual interview questions, the premise is, Alex is going on a trip to the movies with his guest. The guest determines the details about the adventure. Alex asks questions like who they will be attending with, what posters are on the wall, what movie they’re seeing, what snack they’re having, etc, and in between, the guest talks about their memories about movies and l... more
