  • Down the Pub

This podcast really does feel like you are down the pub enjoying a pint* and reminiscing about the past. Very laid back and easy to get lost in the stories.

*I mean that in the fun pre-COVID world sense!

  • I love this

The idea and execution of this podcast is great! It’s always interesting to hear your parents tell the story of their lives! And Peter has a bunch of stories for us all. I love hearing about the instability of the people he traveled with and his thoughts on the people of the world. It feels like Christmas when your grandfather drops that nugget of his life that you never knew! I highly recommend you sit down on the carpet and listen to the funny wisdom peter will give.

  • First hand information

I have been interested in the hippie trail in the last few years, and read whatever I could about it.

This podcast provide first hand information from someone who actually travelled the trail.

It’s fantastic to hear about Peters experiences.

Also he provides nice background information that is also important to try and understand the atmosphere.

  • Insomnia cure!

Since listening to Peter’s pootlings I’ve dispensed with my sleeping pills and just take him to bed instead lol

No, just a joke folks, this is seriously relevant rambling for those of a certain age who may have trod the hippie trail out east or think they may have but have forgotten the details. And a witty, informative social history of those times, useful for young bucks who want to know what it felt like to be up the Khyber without a care...

  • I don’t even like podcasts...

Not a big podcast person (I listen to literally one other one regularly) but big fan of this one! Exceedingly engaging, reflective, and fascinating. I went from “I don’t hate this as much as I thought” to “excuse me while I live tweet my reactions”
