A Life In Song is born of the idea that everybody has a story to tell, and everyone deserves a song. Each episode begins with an ordinary person sharing an incredible, heartbreaking, and often life-changing experience, and culminates with an original song written and performed by long time indie fave Clem Snide. I have been a huge fan of Eef Barzelay and Clem Snide since one of their songs was used as the theme music for the second season of the TV show Ed. I have had the honor of meeting him in person and talking with him about how much his music affects me. I am so happy that this podcast is now bringing his music to a new audience. The show is a welcome calm spot in my week. I hope his audience grows to epic proportions thanks to this podcast!
Storytelling at its finest. The song is high art. And this is the podcast I look forward to more than any other at the moment.
Love the content and the presentation. Makes me want to start up a fire in June and crack open a beer to listen to the next one!
Been a Clem Snide/Eef Barzelay fan for quite a while, which is what made me add this to my never-ending, can’t possibly get through them all podcast library. So glad I did - the episodes are beautifully judged, eclectic stories edited to sensible length followed by the usual brilliant songwriting.
It’s so good to hear Eef in this format. His songwriting is as heart-opening and nimble as ever. Paired with these short narratives, this show can’t miss!
