  • Top 3 podcast!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show episode got me hooked, and I look forward to new episodes of this or their other pod, Bring Me the Axe, every Monday. I enjoy all aspects of this podcast and listen even if I have not seen the film. They have inspired me to see films I might not have heard of otherwise like Killer Condom -which was hilarious ! Their banter is so entertaining, it makes the episode complete. Sorry Dave, I don’t have a great stew recipe to share….I’ll have to work on that.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

46: Mazes & Monsters w/guest Tyler Hyde
Q: Did the panel find any redeeming value in the film despite its flaws?
The panel acknowledges historical interest in the era's moral panics and world-building around early RPGs, but largely views the film as propagandistic and influential mainly for its role in public perception rather than as quality storytelling.
46: Mazes & Monsters w/guest Tyler Hyde
Q: What was Tyler's take on how Dungeons & Dragons is portrayed in Mazes & Monsters compared to real-world gaming culture?
Tyler argues that the film sensationalizes D&D and uses it as a scapegoat for broader social anxieties about adolescence, creativity, and mental health, while gaming culture is much more nuanced and community-oriented than the movie suggests.
