Bring Me the Axe is a comedy podcast celebrating the best (and worst) horror from a time when the video store ruled the night. Every other week, brothers Bryan and Dave White (and the occasional guest) heed the call of nostalgia and evaluate the classic 70s and 80s horror movies they loved in their childhood to determine whether the movies are still relevant today or should be allowed to fade into... more

This week we go back to 1979 for a look at Don Coscarelli's dreamy, stream-of-consciousness horror movie that introduced the world to The Tall Man, Reggie The Ice Cream Man, and the mirror-plated Sentinel Spheres. It's Phantasm! Is this a horror movi... more
This week we take on another made-for-tv movie -- another British made-for-tv movie -- as we take in the notorious BBC Halloween stunt, Ghoswatch. In 1992 the BBC set out to make a movie about a paranormal investigation gone horribly awry. The kicker... more
This week we take a trip back to 1991 for a real video store oddity. It's a rape/revenge movie that also capitalizes on the popularity of Robocop. Written by an Emmy-award winning TV writer, starring a two-time Tony winner as the villain and chock fu... more

I’ve never been a huge horror fan because I can’t handle jump scares. But hearing films I wouldn’t normall consider discussed in their proper context has encouraged me to give them a try, and I was not disappointed. Even episodes on movies I’ve seen a million times have given me some new things to think about.
A horror podcast worth listening to! Lots of trivia, background detail, and contextual information.
Great pod that hilariously reviews old horror and vintage low budget flicks. Hosts are knowledgeable awesome, you'll learn a lot about the movies, who made them, and their social context.
I’m a huge Ruined fan so I found this pod from their Rabid episode with Halle Keifer, and I’m hooked. These guys really know their stuff and their passion for movies is contagious.
These brothers are film buffs for the kinds of movies I grew up with. Sci-Fi, Horror and Ninjas from the 80s video store. They each have varied knowledge about filmmaking and cinema history. A great listen and highly recommended.
