Werewolf Ambulance is a horror movie comedy podcast. Allen and Katie watch horror movies from all eras and of all qualities and then discuss them in a not-so-academic way (just as the name "Werewolf Ambulance" might imply!) and then discuss and rate them. The episodes do contain spoilers, so please watch the films before listening if that bothers you!

Yesss. I've been skipping around episodes after recently discovering this pod via reddit. It puts the song "Werewolf Bar Mitzvah" in my head every ep for no reason other than the similar word. Anyway, they finally referenced it and it's very satisfying. Anyway, great podcast. I'm a mild horror fan but love movies generally. Great dynamic between the hosts. Very relatable and funny. IDC when I don't get the inside jokes and assume things will start making more sense as I go.
Went back and listening from the beginning after started listening a few months ago. Have absolutely enjoyed listening to the show and learning of new horror movies I need to watch.
They are a true delight to listen to. Just listen and you’ll love them.
I enjoyed the podcast until I realized they weren't giving due credit. Example: the remake of Thirteen Ghosts, while not the greatest movie ever, has FANTASTIC set design, that was actually practical and built from the ground up. Not once was this mentioned in their episode. What finally did it for me, however, was their The Conjuring episode, in which Katie repeatedly said the plot didn't matter to her, then complained about the plot not making sense. You can't have it both ways, guys.
re-listening to the entire catalogue. nothing else compares. the vibes are immaculate and it’s great that there are so many episodes because i’ve completely forgotten ones i listened to ages ago, so now i get to laugh like it’s new at all the jokes. five stars always and forever.

Two hosts dive into horror films across eras, delivering lively, banter-filled discussions that mix affectionate fan commentary with sharp, sometimes irreverent critique. Episodes often blend gory or campy moments with pop culture riffs, personal anecdotes, and occasional political quips, all delivered in a warm, friendship-driven dynamic. Notable strengths include a strong sense of camaraderie, high energy, and a willingness to explore both camp and subtext, which helps the show stand out in the horror-comedy space. Potential listeners can expect spoiler-filled, entertaining breakdowns that are approachable for casual fans while still rewarding longtime listeners who enjoy running jokes and deep dives into genre tropes and production quirk... more
