I’ve followed Lynn’s podcast and joined her lifting programs for a few years now, after I went through early menopause, I just wanted to keep my body strong and keep my bone density good, but I gained so much more that I didn’t expect - weight loss, self-confidence, education around nutrition and resistance training, muscles where I never knew they could be for me, like a defined back and torso, the happiness that comes from being able to lift heavy groceries and big rocks in my garden, being ab... more
I came across Lynn’s podcast by chance and am very glad I did. She shares clear, down-to-earth advice on starting weight training in peri- and post-menopause, information which is also useful if you have been training for a while and want to get the best out of your sessions. I joined her Lift-Off program too. Lynn definitely makes the gym a less scary place!
Added bonus: her warm manner and lovely voice.
Found myself nodding along listening to Lynn’s most recent episode sharing all of the things we do and don’t have control over when it comes to how our bodies look. I appreciate how she simplifies the complicated with a very do-able workout plan! That makes it feel more practical and gives hope. 😄
Finally! Lynn explains why and how the fitness routines that were fine for us a decade or two ago, do not work anymore when menopause is in the room. So much clarity. 🙏
Glad to have discovered this podcast! This podcast was the turning point for me to finally dial down the cardio classes and dial up focused weightlifting with progressive overload. Thank you, Lynn, for explaining the science and also giving tips and tricks. Would love more tips and tricks (especially high protein ideas)

This show targets women in perimenopause and menopause who want to regain strength, build muscle, and maintain bone density through practical, science-backed training. A recurring thread is reframing aging as a phase to age powerfully, supported by accessible workouts, nutrition tips, and strategies to fit strength training into busy lives. Noteworthy is the host's no-nonsense coaching style, emphasis on safe technique, and willingness to debunk common myths to empower midlife women to train effectively without unnecessary soreness or over-reliance on cardio alone.
