  • Good, too much interruption

Great guests but host interrupts them a LOT so the flow isn't really there. Also the ads pop in with no warning so it can be really jarring to listen to. Less interruption overall would make this 5 stars.

How to Stop Playing Somebody Else’s Game and Finally Feel Happy
Q: Walk us through weight loss and what happened to you.
Nguyen explains how early weight loss involved simple dietary tweaks and then tracking, which initially helped but eventually became exhausting and misaligned with broader health goals, leading to a realization that lower numbers don't necessarily equal better health.
The Best Hand Loses 88% of the Time: What Poker Reveals About All Our Decisions
Q: What is the illusion of control and why does it matter?
The illusion of control is when people believe they can predict or influence random outcomes; recognizing this bias helps in calibrating expectations and avoiding overconfidence in decisions.
The Best Hand Loses 88% of the Time: What Poker Reveals About All Our Decisions
Q: How does probabilistic thinking translate to everyday life?
Probabilistic thinking helps people evaluate risk across health, finance, and personal decisions by focusing on expected value and cautioning against overweighing rare, dramatic events.
The Best Hand Loses 88% of the Time: What Poker Reveals About All Our Decisions
Q: What made you decide to go all in on poker as a learning tool for decision making?
She explains that real stakes create meaningful learning experiences, bridging psychology with hands-on practice, and that poker uniquely trains people to separate process from outcome and to calibrate beliefs based on feedback from the market (other players' decisions) rather than theory alone.
These Sports Protect Your Brain Against Dementia
Q: If humans evolved to run, why is there such a high injury rate?
Injury risk arises from hard surfaces, increased body mass, sedentary lifestyles reducing joint prep, and too-rapid progression in training programs; gradual ramp-up and modern evidence-based approaches can reduce injuries.
