Decent episode, but it was pretty annoying that it sounds like you’re saying “Alec” instead of Alex.
I started out really liking the show as the premise: hearing criminal cases from both sides, and leaving it to the listener to come up with their on opinion, and it worked that way at first. But then the bias started to creep in. It started with a shift to the formulaic “Audiochuck” style story telling, and then the editorializing kicked into gear. I started listening because of the outstanding reporting on the Karen read case. I stopped subscribing to crime junkie many years ago because it is the same script and narration all the time. This felt different. Now it feels shallow, overproduced and just another crime junkie lookalike. Bummer. No new cases. No one wants to rehash cases that have been covered a zillion times.
