高中課文常選〈庖丁解牛〉作為理解莊子學說的媒介。相較於莊子其他篇章，〈庖丁解牛〉有具體情節、人物行動與技藝描寫，文字上比較容易進入；但如果要更完整地理解莊子的思想，只靠這一篇，其實還不太夠。
