It’s been fun revisiting these comics but this podcast often makes embarrassing factual errors. Caution advised.
I’m glad that Siskoid and Bass decided to do this podcast after their great Invasion podcast. Looking back at these events is fun and it makes me remember the few OMG moments of Zero Hour and also see the many flaws of the series. Thanks for the look back and also looking forward to more episodes as we go through the zero issues.
Let's clear the air right off the bat: The Zero Hour crossover was a milestone event in DC's history. It had lovely Dan Jurgens art and some great zero-numbered issues that spun off as a result. And it still wasn't that good. Characters died unnecessarily, the plot went off the rails into the woods, and some of what DC wanted to sell in the nineties wasn't worth buying.

A great idea for a podcast scuppered by the decision not to cover the comics in the order they were published. As a result it’s pointless to try and follow the overall story and any sense of momentum or narrative is lost. Nice to be reminded of the time and to revisit the comics though.
