  • please stop all the randos giving a description of the painting

Please stop with the people giving their opinion/ bad description of the painting in the bginning of the podcast! (I know, ironic that I am giving my opinion but hey...) I think everyone here googles the painting before the episode. I can't fast forward fast enough but sometimes this segment goes on WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too LONG!

Also, there is no exploration of how the painting was made or the artist's working methods : oil on canvas, painted from models, ...etc.

  • Brilliant and beautiful

This is one of the most beautifully curated podcasts I’ve ever heard. Each episode is layered and fascinating, always offering so much more than an analysis of a work. Tamar’s reflections are not just scrupulously researched, they are soulful and generous and deeply humane. TLP is a gift.

  • Synesthesia

I'm revisiting my review as I re-listen my favorite art history podcast, ever. Still feel the same!!! While listening, it's like seeing with your ears! You will experience works of art at a depth previously reserved for those with a fine arts degree. Quite a lot of fun, with wisdom inspired by or gleaned from the artist and works discussed ... the wisdom will sneak up on you at any moment! And what a voice! I could listen to this all day ... and have, many times.
