Adult children sometimes have addictions, etc. Parents don’t have to and shouldn’t have to put up with adult children’s toxic behavior. ITS NOT ALWAYS PARENTS… just because she has unresolved parent issues doesn’t mean all adult children who go no contact is because of the parent!!

It’s hard to understand if you don’t grow up with this kind of family bc on the outside they appear as sai... more
First off, this is an amazing podcast if you’re an adult with a borderline mother and an enabling father (or another combo). I feel seen, validated, nodding along to most of it, triggered (in a good way), and taken a lot of Tori’s advice to use in my relationship with my borderline mom and enabler dad. It’s helper to clarify why I’m feeling what I’m feeling. I am empowered. So, thank you. You’re talking about issues that I have never heard another podcaster talk about. That being said, I agree w... more
I am on a healing journey, trying to recuperate from my toxic and dysfunctional family. In a very low moment recently, I searched for self-help podcasts and found Torie’s, and though I’m only a few episodes in, I feel better already. Listening to her is so soothing and validating, and I am excited to continue this journey!
This podcast has helped me more than any other resources I’ve found. So thankful!
