As a Times reader I thought I’d try this podcast. Why not reproduce the actual obituary? You get scant information on here. Waste of time
Thank you for sharing these fascinating life stories. Look forward to your podcast each week
I love the fact obituaries in The Times, it’s a key reason why I subscribe and buy the print version several times a week. However, this show is a thin pastiche of the BBC Radio 4’s excellent ‘Last Word’ programme. This simulacrum contains no archive, no expert contributors and lacks the professional feel of the BBC show it mimics.
We should treasure the BBC and the unique way it is funded. This type of show is all we’d be left with if the licence fee goes.
I really like this podcast ! very inspiring.

Couldn’t make it past the first 10 minutes. Lilty music, then a flat voice reading the text of the printed obit. Awful. I love the printed obits; this drained the pleasure away.
