I have been telling people to question everything we think we know. I knew God was telling me there are more natural ways to do things . He created everything with a purpose! I am starting the journey of preparing my body for pregnancy and I came across Lori’s podcast. Before I would tell people what I believed, but Lori has the medical terminology to back up what I already believe! Whenever someone questions my knowledge, I send them this Podcast to confirm what I already told them. I do not fe... more
I have been crunchy for a few years now. Upon discovering we were pregnant, I began to search desperately for information about pregnancy and home birth. The Lord led me to this podcast, and after hours of listening to episode after episode, I was convinced and confident of my decision. That's why I love the podcast's balance between research based health advice and good biblical teaching. I just wish I... more
I recently discovered your podcast and have been loving it! I am currently in paramedic school in Ontario, Canada, and my training in emergency childbirth woke me up to the lies of the medical system… from lack of consent (let alone informed consent!) to immediate cord clamping, it just didn’t sit right with me and I started to dig into God’s design for birth. My husband and I hope to have children once I am finished school, Lord willing, and I am so grateful for your wisdom and resources as I p... more
Finding Lori’s podcast truly changed my life! I went from being so afraid of giving birth that I gladly had a c-section with my first child (due to placenta previa), to planning a home birth with my second and Wanting it with all my heart!!! All of that while being 46 years old and considered high risk by the medical system.
The other great change is “discovering” whole grains and replacing all white flour with our freshly milled one - amazing changes in our health for the entire family.
